Biography


Dr. Saunders has been practicing Orthopedic Surgery since he moved to Fort Myers from Metro Detroit in 1997. He is one of the most experienced Orthopedic Surgeons in the Fort Myers/Cape Coral area.


Throughout his years in SW Florida, he has had the opportunity to manage thousands of patients both surgically and non surgically. He served as an Associate Team Physician for the Boston Red Sox for ten years. He prides himself in treating patients individually, knowing no two patients have the same problems/ priorities and treatments are individually tailored to their needs.


His wife is also a physician, specializing in Infectious Disease. They have 3 children of which they are very proud. Spending time with family remains a priority.


Outside of work, his hobbies trace back to his roots in car obsessed Metro Detroit. He is a Certified Instructor at Sebring International Raceway for the Porsche Club of America. Outside of track days, he likes to spend time on his Sport Bike hunting for curves in Florida's flat terrain. Fishing and golfing allow quality moments with family and reconnecting with Southwest Florida's beauty.
