Biography

Dr. Humbert joined Joint Implant Surgeons of Florida in 2003 and established himself as a regional leader in total joint replacement and arthroscopy. Dr. Humbert developed his interest in orthopaedics while obtaining his degrees in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Florida in 1990 and master's degree in Biomedical Engineering from the University of Akron in 1996. His studies concentrated on musculoskeletal biomechanics as well as orthopaedic implant design. He completed his medical school training at Nova Southeastern University, Ft. Lauderdale, FL, in 1996 and orthopaedic surgery residency at Ohio University, Columbus, OH in 2001. He then completed a one year fellowship in adult reconstruction/joint replacement and arthroscopy.

Currently, Dr. Humbert is an instructor at a national orthopedic learning center for hip and knee replacement; there he teaches other orthopedic surgeons from around the country new minimally invasive joint replacement techniques.  Dr. Humbert has successfully implanted over 5000 hip and knee replacements and currently performs over 900 joint replacements a year.

Dr. Humbert is board certified and is active in orthopaedic education, research, and teaching. He is also active with his family and community and enjoys golf, hockey, biking, and tennis.
