Biography

Dr. Fenning, originally from Philadelphia, PA, is a graduate of the University of Vermont College of Medicine. He received his medical and surgical training at the U.S. Naval Hospitals in Chelsea, MA, and Portsmouth, VA. He completed a surgical residency at Duke University. Following 12 years with the U.S. Navy in the practice of orthopaedic surgery, Dr. Fenning moved into private practice in Fort Myers. Having successfully performed more than 15,000 joint implants, Dr. Fenning is world-renowned for his innovative surgical procedures. He has lectured worldwide on joint surgery and has served as a guest faculty member at countless orthopaedic seminars. Dr. Fenning has been a member of the Lee Memorial Hospital Medical Staff since 1971 and is Board Certified by the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgery. Dr. Fenning is fluent in French.
